Established in 1927, the Historic Oklahoma City Farmers Public Market was home to the original central food hub and farmers market for Oklahoma City until the 1980’s, featuring farmer stalls offering fruits, vegetables, and meats, as well as, hosting the largest farmers market in Oklahoma. After years of outward migration by local food distributors and local farmers, the Historic Oklahoma City Farmers Market District is on the rise again, centered around local food and entertainment.
The OKC Farmers Market District contains a diverse selection of tenants, ranging from yoga studios (Bikram Yoga OKC) to local food grocers (Urban Agrarian) to bars (The Power House) to manufacturers (OKC Meat Company). Zoned primarily commercial or industrial, the District houses light industrial manufacturers, retail, commercial, office, and eventually residential plats. For more information on properties and District development, contact Bud Scott, Attorney and Project Developer at bud@farmersmarket.factory-sixteen.com.
